Implementing the Radiation Characteristics of Musical Instruments in Sound Field Synthesis Applications

The radiation characteristics of musical instruments are recorded and implemented in a newly developed psychoacoustic sound field synthesis system. This system is able to create a) a natural, spatial instrumental sound with b) precise localization in c) an extended listening area while d) reducing the necessary number of loudspeakers due to e) technical implementation of psychoacoustics.
