Something has begun to shift. Reports of hostility toward scholars are becoming increasingly frequent, as are debates about threats to academic freedom. Yet it remains a matter of contention who or what is actually being harmed in current conflicts surrounding scientific knowledge. Marc Strotmann’s research project examines wounded identities in the academic field against the backdrop of contemporary affective politics and conflicts of sensibility.
