The ongoing digitization of everyday life provides fundamentally new options for cultural production which are available not only to professionals but also to amateurs. The subsequent developments in cultural practice have generated questions both concerning concepts as well as terms for describing the particular qualities of digital culture. These issues have an impact on both the theoretic framework used for analysis as well as the methodological tools used for exploring culture and therefore constitute the questions that we intend to address with this conference.
