Leaky Vessel is an independent collective that formed out of Social Design Klasse 2024/25 at HFBK Hamburg with the focus on queer commoning. The name originates from an expression the group came across during a collective reading of Jack Halberstam’s 'Unbuilding Gender'. We are a porous entity that is transforming from being a class at an art institution and the shared space of the classroom to a collective that contains diverse groups and practices. It welcomes people and knowledge to drip in, and allows content to seep out through open events and exchanges.
